How does it works ?
We mix photography capturing the essence of your iris with high quality printing to see your eye in great details. Apart from the photo, you will have some explanations about the curiosities of your eyes, both colors and textures and how do they relate to you.
How long does the experience last?
The on-site experience is very quick, typically lasting about 5-10 minutes per person.
Are the photos natural?
At Eye Origin, we value showcasing the natural beauty that is within the iris. Accordingly, we don’t alter the colors or textures that organically exist within the eye. That's why we always show you the raw photos of your eyes before the result.
Is there a minimum age?
No, although we recommend waiting until 2 years old. During the process, the child will have to sit still for a set of photos, and as long as he/she is willing and cooperative our team is more than happy to try!
Can I try first?
A great way to preview your iris is through our interactive mirrors that are available at each gallery location, it will allow you to see your irises in a way that you’ve never seen before! If you are interested, you can try the experience with our photographers to see your eyes in more detail.
I have contact lenses, is this a problem?
Not at all, our galleries are fully equipped with contact solution and lens cases. After deciding on which iris you’d like to transform into the artwork, our team will direct you to take off your contact lens for the final photos. This is necessary because lenses can interfere with the quality of the iris images, and we want to ensure that the final artwork is a high-quality reflection of your natural iris!
don't live here, can you send it to me?
Of course! We ship all our products worldwide!
Can I offer the experience to someone?
Yes! We have gift cards available by mail or directly in our gallery. Our gift cards do not have an expiration date.
Is the photo dangerous/aggressive for eyes?
Our photography process is 100% safe! We use a soft flash from an angle that is painless for most people as it doesn’t shine directly into the eyes
Protection of personal data / biometric recognition
Typically, we keep the artwork version of your iris forever in case of future orders. The raw photos are deleted shortly after the artwork is created and delivered. Both can be deleted instantly upon request.
With our photography system, the biometric recognition of your eye is not possible. The equipment used for biometric purposes provides a 3D scan of the eye, whereas our camera equipment can only create 2D photos of the eye (which are then strictly used for artistic purposes).
